Do I have to do a consultation call? I hate talking on the phone.
Yes! We want to make sure we are a good fit! The calls also give you the opportunity to ask any questions you may have…Plus, boudoir is incredibly intimate. Establishing a bit of a relationship from the start will also make you more comfortable! We promise, these calls are these calls are a major part of the experience.
Are y’all vaccinated? Will y’all wear masks? Is the studio sanitized?
Hell yes. To all 3. We take our clients health + safety very seriously. Immediately after each session, every studio in the surface is sanitized. Bathroom, bed, couch, chair, even the floors and hand rails. All fabrics are washed twice in fabric sanitizer.
Isn’t it awkward that y’all are married and do this together?
What’s the benefit of having two photographers?
Nope! Not awkward! Not even a little bit! We love the absolute crap out of each other and that makes working together a walk in the park. We started out as wedding photographers and we wanted to just add boudoir as an add on for our brides. After we really got into it, it became our passion. We’ve transferred some of our methods from wedding to boudoir. For example, Bobby will focus on overall shots. However, I (Rachel), am detail oriented and will put a bit more of my focus on outfit details, specific body parts, etc. Also, I can ASSURE you that you don’t want Bobby styling any of your outfits… lmao.
I’m awkward and I have no idea what to do in front of a camera.. What if I look awkward?
You won’t! It’s okay to be nervous. Everyone is. Even the models we work with are nervous at first. Don’t worry though, we’ll do whatever it takes to make you comfortable- play your favorite music, make jokes at Bobby’s expense and pose you from head to toe! We pinky promise we won’t let you look like anything less than a complete badass.
I want to do a session, but I need to reach my goal weight/change my hair/etc.
Bestie… if you don’t stop that crazy talk! The number of inquiries we get with this comment is astounding. You look incredible the way you are! And our job is to highlight that!
Do you offer couples sessions?
Heck yea + we LOVE them!
Is hair and make up included/REQUIRED?
Nope! We want our clients to do what makes them comfortable - whether that’s a full beat or just a little concealer… That said, we have great referrals for artists in the area and we will pass along their info after your consult call!
Should I get a spray tan? Should I wax? Should I get my nails done?
We’ve put together a handy dandy boudoir guide for our clients. We’ll email that to you once you’ve scheduled to help you prep for your session!
Do you have a client wardrobe or should I bring my own outfits?
We have a few pieces and are working on growing our collection! That being said, you’ll need to bring your own outfits. We’ll set up a Zoom call a couple of weeks before your session to help style and customize your choices.
Do I have to share my images online?
Absolutely not! We never, ever, ever, EVER, share images anywhere unless you sign a model release contract! Even then, we still allow you to choose what images can and cannot be used. We understand that the nature of what we do is incredibly intimate and we do not take that lightly. Your privacy is incredibly important to us.
Where is your studio? Do I have to have my session there? What if I want to do it somewhere else?
Our studio is located in Troutman, NC (about 20 minutes north of Charlotte.) We prefer using our studio but are open to other locations! Share your location ideas with us during your consultation!
How much will this cost?
It depends! We have several digital and print collections to choose from. No matter which option you go with, you’ll have a $250 non-refundable retainer due at booking. The remaining balance is due 1 week before your scheduled session date. Most clients spend an average of $1500 on prints. Print collections must be paid in full before we will submit your print order. You can learn more about our pricing in the investments tab.
Do you HAVE payment plans?
Yep! We offer interest free payment plans.
Can I bring a friend with me?
Sure thing! We do require that your guest be over 18 and they cannot disrupt your session.
How long do sessions last? How many outfits can I wear?
Typically, sessions last around 2-3 hours. We promise, it goes by super fast. We really like for clients to stay around 4 outfits. A lot of lingerie can take a lot of time to get in and out of. We want you to get your moneys worth and spend as much time in front of the camera as possible.
Will you edit out stretch marks, acne, bruises, make my arms smaller, make my butt bigger?
We abide by a 2 week rule. If there’s something on your body that will only be there for two weeks, ie: acne, bruises, scratches, razor burn, etc. we will remove it. Other than that, it stays. We do not do heavy retouching. Your body tells your story and we want to respect and honor it by taking photos that reflect who you truly are.
How long will it take for me to get my images back?
Typically, you’ll get your final images within 48 hours of your session. If you’ve ordered prints, they usually are ready within 2 weeks of the order date. These time frames can vary depending on the season, holidays, etc.
